Cinderella's Blue

I've been obsessed with the new Cinderella movie (2015) and I want to emulate her magical ball gown. At first, I wanted to create a modest outfit with a simple classic shape: open neckline, cinched waist and a very puffy and floor-length skirt. It isn't difficult to pick out the pieces that match my determined silhouette. Then I tried to dye all the pieces in a monotone to subdue various unnecessary details. The color turns out to be primarily blue in different shades of purple, turquoise and aquamarine. Next, I took out any redundant accessories as I believe Cinderella's beauty lies in her brilliant simplicity and her dress already speaks volume for itself. Last but not least, I picked out the Aurora Shoes and dyed them in the pales Glint colors for her famous "Glass Slippers". The main challenge is the dye job. The skirt glows very brightly and changes its color upon different lighting. To match the color of the top and the skirt while making them appear like a one-piece dress requires me to browse through all the existing blue colors.
