A cursed existence

Born into a noble family, I lived a life of luxury. Nothing was denied to me. But everything changed when I began to experiment with the dark arts. When I was 13, I began to test the possibilities of fire. Unfortunately I was young and stupid. I managed to burn one of my best friends and myself. I only suffered slight scarring to my face, but my friend was not so lucky. He eventually succumbed to his burns. I then began to explore deeper into Necromancy, trying to bring him back, but in vain. I wear the Phantom's Hood, to hide my shame. I wear mostly green, because it was his favorite color. The red jewels remind me of his red eyes. I live a cursed existence, and remind myself of it everyday, so that I may not be that stupid ever again. *This is my first time every trying to write a backstory for one of my characters, let me know what you guys think. Dyes used are Leprechaun, Flame, and Shadow Green.*
