Blessed by the Raven Spirit

My contest submission for /r/GuildWarsDyeJob's Legendary Look Fashion Contest (https://www.reddit.com/r/GuildWarsDyeJob/comments/40pjre/) Throughout his life, Berigan Voidwalker had always felt Raven's guidance. Blessed with a keen mind and talent for communing with spirits, Berigan became a devoted shaman of the Raven spirit. Berigan traveled for many years throughout the Shiverpeaks, collecting arcane knowledge and calming restless spirits. The Norn took to calling him "Voidwalker" for his mastery of Necromancy and other dark arts. Inspired by an old skaald's tale about a legendary weapon channeling Raven's power, Berigan set out on a pilgrimage across Tyria to craft Nevermore. He took with him a raven chick and a staff made from wood blessed by the spirits. As the raven grew, Berigan visited many spiritual landmarks in search of wild fragments of Raven's spirit. He undertook many sacred trials to purify himself and strengthen his connection to Raven. Finally, once the raven was grown and his spirit ready, Berigan ventured deep within a sacred cave to conduct the final ritual. Berigan raised his staff aloft and called upon Raven to meld the bird and staff together. Amid swirling energies, Berigan's raven alighted on the tip of his staff and become one with it. Its ebony body burst into an azure spirit that curved around the staff and Berigan felt Raven's power course through his body. Berigan knelt and thanked Raven for its eternal blessing. For wherever Berigan walks, Raven's might is his.
