She was once a renowned Countess. Living in a huge castle, and enjoying a great fortune, this lady was living a peaceful life with her husband and children. Almost everything was great. Her dearest dream of starting a family had come true and she was an accomplished woman. Her family was happy and healthy and she possessed an immense wealth. Success, fame, respect, happiness. She had everything. But in the end, it seems it wasn't enough. It was never enough... At least for her. She decided she needed more. Always more and more. Something had grown in her mind. Something that obsessed her deeply: the fear of growing old and her quest for eternal youth. This fear had become immeasurable. She wanted to shutdown the time more than anything. She had reached such a point that one day she called on an enchantress who said she could help her and make her wildest dreams come true in exchange for a portion of her fortune. But this enchantress was more a witch than anything else. Indeed, all that this crook made was to curse the countess: she turned her body into stone, her flesh became petrified, and her gaze dead and soulless. She couldn't even feel her heart beat anymore. And mostly, wings and horns had grown on her body. But in a sense the witch had kept her word: the lady wouldn't grow old or die anymore. She was truly immortal. The witch had turned her into something else. Something definitely not alive and not human. Something that couldn't belong in this society. A feared and ugly monster that was soon rejected by the people, and torn away from her family. Called the cursed stone creature, she was thrown out of her kingdom, and doomed to watch over the ramparts of the city. In the end, the countess had lost everything and had let her crazy obsessions and the thirst for youth destroy her family and her life. She would spend her eternal life to think about the one she would never live and imagine her children grow old far away from her. And while she would never see them live, she was cursed to see them die. And in the end, when everyone would be gone, and everything woud be ashes, the gargoyle would still be there. Standing alone on the ramparts, until the end of times. ___________________________________________________________________ Hey! Finally here's the look for my revenant. The bat wings that I've been waiting for to complete my look are finally back ! \o/ I went for a gargoyle/statue look, keeper and protector of the ramparts. For this I tried to make the armor look like stone with grey/black colors. I wanted to make her face look petrified and deadpan with a fierce gaze too. Like a dangerous vengeful kind of creature. I hope I succeeded in that. And I hope you'll like it :)
