Sacrus Bloodguard, following in the steps of his Primus, hopes to one day mend the relationships between his race and the Humans. The Charr need diplomats; Charr willing to spend their time and effort in assisting in race relations. Sacrus, given his previous experience with his Primus's "Multiracial acceptance" Fahrar teachings, was allowed to join the delegation in the commencing of treatise talk at Summit Peak. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hello! This is one of my Guardians, Sacrus Bloodguard. Originally, he was built for WvW raiding, as time went on, he became more of a design template for my larger charr. With this look, I wanted to go for something more Knightly: Heavy armor, Fabrics, and of course, the Gallant Weapons (They fit so well with just about everything I work on, so I just can't leave them out!). I've had the Gallant Greatsword for a while, and have just now recently decided to put it to use in a look. The Hammer was recently purchased, and magnificently appropriate. As for the armor combination, I've been waiting quite a while to craft the Guild Leggings and put my sort of preview-theory into motion. The Brawn of Koda was a must-have, matching my armored/fabric criteria, likewise with the Ornate Guild Leggings. The boots, the Paws of Koda followed suit, as they also contained the armored/fabric look I wanted. From there, it was the shoulders and gloves; two pieces that were annoyingly difficult to find. After a while, I ended up settling for both Phalanx pieces as opposed to the Glorious and Ascalonian pieces. They dyed better, fit the more heavy feeling, and didn't feel obnoxiously bulky. The headpiece ended up being the Wreath of Cooperation, fitting to his theme of seeking cooperation between his races. A literal olive branch, dyed appropriately, of course. He's harmless unless you're a separatist or renegade! My dyes were pretty straightforward. Dust for the metals, Sapphire for cloths, and Gold for the armor/cloth trim. Originally, I was going for a more darker hue, experimenting with Steel and Cinders, but the combination felt awkward to the eye. After speaking with a couple guildmates, who encouraged me to make the fabric colors pop as opposed to the armor, I ended up playing with a few blue dyes (winter ice, midnight ice, royal blue), but all were either too bright or too saturated. I felt Sapphire had a more eye-pleasing feel, and my friends agreed, so here it is! The Gold was chosen as other lighter yellow dyes made the armor feel washed out. I wanted ornate, but not too heavy of a gold (Redemption was a close choice, but ended up being too heavy a gold.) All three aspects combine to provide you with a Diplomatic Delegation Defender! Hope my hard work payed off ^^
