Flamedancer - Talera Ironwill

One of the first group of cubs to leave the Fahrar, Talera Ironwill grew up alongside Orin and my own daughter. The trio were inseparable – Talera the brawn, Samura the brains, and Orin the beauty. I say that, yet I forget to mention how quickly she picked up her combat skills. She’s quite adept in swordmastery, riflery, archery, you name it. She easily knicks the right vitals or blasts the right targets. She’s a shining example of Legion training and discipline. As of late, I recall she's been honing her skills in the Mists, and in the Arena. With a blazing blade she cleaves through her foes, leaving onlookers mystified. ______________________________ Ahai! This is Talera Ironwill, one of my Charr Warriors. Growing bored of her T2/T3 mix (A set I used primarily for roaming), I wanted to put together something a bit more formfitting and less spiky. Her earlier looks consisted of a mix of Braham's/Council Guard, as seen here: http://gw2style.com/look.php?id=1891 , and one before that consisting of a mix of Phalanx and Priory. That look, being a bit dated, fits well with the Berserker specialization. But as of late, I've leaned towards outfitting my characters to be more realistically armored. With that being said, I attempted to put something aesthetically pleasing together. I wanted form fitting and no cultural armor. I had already been using the CM plate on several of my other characters, along with different leg combinations. The Studded Plate legs were one of the newer combos, yet many boot skins looked awkward - which lead to the Militia boots, as they weren't obnoxiously oversized or weird. The Barbaric Gloves and Shoulders I felt complimented the rugged/formfitting look I was going for. No helmet, as I feel a Charr's hairstyle is expressive and compliments a look as well. For Dyes, I went with my go-to militaristic greens and browns (Pewter, Oil Slick, charcoal) with cinders throw in there to add a splash of dulled brightness to the gloves/shoulders. With this dye combo, the look changes its sheen in a multitude of different lightings. Weapons were traditional, Legionnaire Longbow and Greatsword. Firebringer's flame color was difficult to match a torch with, but I felt that the Aetherized Torch had a rather spicy and similar color. Everything comes together to create Talera Ironwill's new look. Hope you enjoy it!
