When the Dominator Weapons made an appearance in-game, I knew immediately that I wanted to do something with the staff - it looked so science-fictionish and totally different from all the staffs in Guild Wars so far. I just knew I had to do some heavily futuristic design with it - and I was not the only one with that idea. Turned out that Hylek and me both had pretty similar ideas and before our looks could end up as rip offs of one another, we decided to create our futuristic duo look together from the get go. Since the group look feature wasn´t really used to its full potential yet, we decided to finally combine our ideas and upload our two solo looks and the group look all in one go. Since the collaboration was the most important thing, this character´s background story will mostly be covered with the group look, so please check it out! Group look: http://gw2style.com/look.php?id=10835 For my futuristic assassin I chose the design of a nearly faceless juggernaut, a dangerous killing machine that barely resembles a human anymore. To be fair, no one can really tell if there is even a living and breathing creature under that mask of his. The Magitech boots were just a must-have on this look, I wanted to create something like this for ages now! For the rest of the armour I wanted something sleek and futuristic, so I decided against one of the many coats that are available for Medium armour and went with some tight instead. Bladed armour really fit in well with the assassin theme. The most difficult thing here was actually the dye job. The Dominator weapons have this really iridescent quality with a kinda strange colour combination of purple/green/yellow, so I tried to reflect this in my armour. This is why I willingly decided to use different shades of green on the different armour pieces. I kept the purple a bit toned down, because a really bright lila just felt totally out of place here (he is an assassin after all!). Hylek instead made the look that leaned more into the purple side of the weapon. I really hope you enjoy this look and take into consideration that he is 100% a product of this collaboration and some design choices are heavily based on this duo look! This was a time-consuming look, but definitely worth the wait to upload it.
