It is very possible that you seen anyone like Farran in your day to day. An elderly man, dressed in simple but well maintained clothes with a travel bag on his back and a staff of oak in his gnarled hands. Tall as a pine and strong as a bull, Farran imposes immediate respect with his own presence. But when dealing with people, the elderly norn shows a perennial smile, especially when surrounded by children, who seem to feel a special empathy. Always attentive, he seems to know more people than one might imagine. Farran, whose name no one knows if it's real or not, can be found sitting in the warmth of a nice fire in a tavern, with a foaming mug of beer in one hand and a piece of mutton in the other, telling a story or legend while enjoy the food. The list of stories is so broad that no one would be able to say that Farran has told the same story twice in his life. Farran said to have traveled throughout Tyria ... from the icy Shiverpeaks Mountains to the mysterious Crystal Desert, through corrupt land of Orr and the lush jungles of Maguuma. He also said to fight amazing and dangerous creatures, even those that are just myths actually. If only a fraction of what Farran tells is true, the old storyteller would be as old as the Gods themselves ... something that obviously can not be true. But sometimes, when Farran is observing the starry sky, one can envision for a moment a strange gleam in his eyes blue. In those brief moments, one senses the uneasy feeling that the old Norn is much, much older than appears. And that's when the question arises, waving your mind: what if all those stories are true?
