In the depths of the most mystical forest lives the King of all Faeries - Oberon he is called, and mighty is he, as he commands magic and nature around him alike. Side by side with his wife Titania - who is said to be of heavenly beauty - he rules over his kingdom with wisdom and cunning. "But we are spirits of another sort: I with the morning's love have oft made sport, And, like a forester, the groves may tread, Even till the eastern gate, all fiery-red, Opening on Neptune with fair blessed beams, Turns into yellow gold his salt green streams. But, notwithstanding, haste; make no delay: We may effect this business yet ere day." For all his wisdom though one shouldn´t forget that fairies are cunning and sometimes even treacherous beings. What might feel cruel to an onlooker is merely a source of amusement for Oberon and his court. Magic and spells are his forte and bewitching an unknowing subject with a love spell or pitting two brothers against each other is a play that Oberon loves to watch escalate. He is a trickster by heart who learned to be a responsible king on the side. His court isn´t an all to serious one anyways, as his fairies like to frolick and enjoy themselves and Oberon leads them with equal joy. Hey guys, I present to you my take on the Moth Wings! As soon as these wings came out, I knew I had to craft a look around it and immediately these Moth Wings struck me as very fairy-like! I loved the way the cultural top of the Sylvari created some additional smaller wings and I decided to craft a look around it. While some armour choices might be obvious ones (the Carapace legs for example), I tried to spice it up a little by also incorporating the Trickster armour, because yes, he has some kind of trickster nature himself and I felt that the devilish faces on gloves and boots would embody that quite well. As a king needs a crown this was the most obvious choice to go with for me. Since the Moth Wings have a really distinct colourscheme already, I tried not to stray away from it too far and make this look all too colourful; instead I tried to find the right shades of red, which wasn´t all too easy on the armourpieces I chose. The dusty grey/beige outline of the wings felt like a nice balancing dye that helped keeping this a little more on the natural site. With the weapons I also tried to combine mothlike, fairy-ish and regal styles to get a good mixture. The warhorn kinda reminded me of dried moths, so there is that. The Pale Tree had to become Titania for some of the screenshots :P But I might upload a companionlook to this one soon, as my main character actually also sports a fairy look. I hope you enjoy this look ^^ (The backpiece is the Moth Wings backpiece which I can´t specify yet!)
