I already had an established human female warrior with a backstory, so I recreated my warrior as a herald-- hence her distinctive look and consideration for practical armor. I was inspired by her story as an honorable, yet troubled warrior. Because of this, I decided to give her the appearance of a traditional paladin or valiant knight. I figured that if she came back from the Mists, she would have been most inspired by Glint, Jalis, or Ventari--opposed to darker legends like Shiro and Mallyx.
