He was handsome, he was rich, and he carried a brilliance that drew others towards him, but he was also young and arrogant. Arrogant enough to challenge a centaur commander to battle just to impress a girl. The Seraph managed to save him, but not before he was mutilated and crippled for life. He lost everything. His friends were sympathetic at first, but soon left him one by one. His father, a Krytan minister who had already lost a wife, could not bear the sight of his son in such a state and stayed away from home on the pretence of work. Left on his own, he only fell deeper and deeper into despair. On the brink of total insanity, he had a thought. He wondered, what could he still do in this world? That single thought saved him. With the help of a servant to hold the books and turn the pages, he was able to begin absorbing himself in scholarly pursuits. There was a desperation in him at first, a relentless drive to find a purpose in life for even a cripple like him. He forced himself to read up on all sorts of things he did not have the slightest care about, and amassed a great variety of obscure knowledge. And then, he found joy. It is quite rare for the books of the asura to land in Krytan libraries, but his late mother was an eccentric whose interests deviated from the other noble ladies. Reading on, he became fascinated with asuran engineering and the possibilities began to bloom in his mind. He travelled to Rata Sum to learn personally from the asura themselves. They were disparaging to the uneducated cripple, but he had been humbled long ago and did not give up. He was able to eventually prove to them his mental acuity and capacity to learn, and became accepted as a student starting from the very beginning of asuran education. One day, his father came home to be greeted personally by his son at the door, who could walk again thanks to his powered prosthetic suit, the fruit of his many years of labor. This suit was called "The Guardian." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- His story goes on for many, many pages to come. This is The Guardian MK II, also called the "Dragonhunter." It has been greatly upgraded to fight against dragon minions for the Pact and is powered by ley energy.
