Iratus is a Flame Legion shaman with a fierce temper and a short fuse. He fights wildly, merging traditional warrior combat with devastating, rage-fueled pyromancy, burning a path through the battlefield, his enemies smothered in flames. He wears a set of heat-resistant plate armor to protect him, and carries a blade and bow he enchanted with fire magic. Often he is seen carrying a torch, channeling through it and setting himself ablaze to act as a moving inferno. His magic enables him great flexibility in travel, able to summon himself to distant places, walk or swim through lava, and manifest his flames as phoenix wings, using them to fly short distances. He seeks out areas that are rich with magic, specifically fire magic, and viciously slaughters any locals who stand in his way, leaving nothing but ashes. He is the only shaman who takes on scouting by himself, occasionally returning to Flame Legion to turn over any information he discovers. But Iratus was not always so privileged. Born in Flame Legion to a veteran, well-respected shaman, it was realized after a few years that he had not developed any magical abilities. This deeply disappointed his father, who soon abandoned and disowned him. But Iratus refused to become discouraged. He trained to become a warrior with blade and bow, and his determination to succeed carried him above and beyond his peers. Soon, as an adolescent, he was regularly sparring with experienced soldiers - and often winning. He made no hesitations in combat, overwhelming his opponent with a reckless but lethal flurry of attacks. One day, just before he would come of age, Iratus visited his father. Standing tall and proud, towering over his sire, the young warrior pushed his chest out and proclaimed: "I shall bring pride to you now, father; for I am the greatest warrior of my generation!" But the elder charr refused. "You shall bring me no pride with your mere toys. I have no son!" And faced with rejection from his father once more, Iratus felt something very hot flare up inside him. He marched closer to his father, growling out as his entire body felt suddenly warm, his heart pumping. He felt rage welling up inside him, making him dizzy with an adrenaline rush. He sensed the need to release this feeling immediately, before it consumed him from the inside out; and in a motion that seemed instinctive to him, he thrust both of his hands forward, palms out, his sire dead center in front of him. A jarring shockwave pounded through the air, and a great explosion of flame launched him backward. When he recovered from the blast, he saw his singed father extending a hand to help him to his feet. Taking the hand, Iratus stood up and lifted his chin, glaring at his sire. "I am your son," he declared, his eyes still smoldering with anger. "And I will become a better pyromancer than you have ever been!" And the old shaman slowly grinned, for his son had found his magic. Imgur album mirror: http://imgur.com/a/0TI5q
