The Arah armors have always been some of my favorite pieces in the game, but I rarely use them since their over-the-top bony design never matches with anything. Thankfully, they made the Beastslayer weapons which look awesome and match quite nicely with the armor, so I made a look out of it =D 3rd year b-day dye kits helped a lot as well, allowing me to get these expensive darker dyes. Coincidentally, the dye names do match the lore of the character =) Enjoy! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Papa what are you doing? Why are you putting claws and fangs out on the beach?" "What the islanders have always done for many years now." "Papa I do not understand." "A vile beast mauled someone very close to papa and you, child. Legend has it that the island's guardian spirit, Nakala the Vengeful, will come and slay the beast, so long as it is marked with the blood of a fallen friend. These offerings of fangs and claws are payment for her services in protecting our kind." "Who is the spirit?" "Legend has it that the spirit was once a humble sailor, much like us. Not long ago, she wound up on this dreadful volcanic island, just like us. Her crew were stranded on the western cliffs over there, and the tide never subsided enough for them to make it to the main island. The woman watched as her stranded crew was picked off during the night by devilish creatures. She found a cave in the cliff face, and hid inside. She sat there through the night, the caustic rainwater from the volcanic storm slipping through the cracks above and eating away at her skin. She could leave, for if she did, those beasts would eat her alive. Eventually, the sun rose. The light shone through the cracks above and revealed to her the mask, buried in the layers of volcanic rock. She clawed at it, swiped at it, kicked it relentlessly, drawn and addicted to its sheen. The rock broke, and she donned the mask. With the sun shining above her in the radiant dawn, she burst out of the cave and leaped at the beasts. She grabbed a wooden stake and drove it deep into the beasts' leader's skull, killing it in one vicious, feral blow. As the beasts circled around her, she slaughtered them one by one, wearing nothing but sailor's rags and that mask. After they had all died, she turned their wretched husks into weapons and armor, and painted it with their blood." "The spirit is evil." "No child, the spirit is not evil. She is driven by instinct. The power that the sun channels through the mask upon her head. It is uncontrollable. Primal, some may even say. But that power is channeled at those beasts, those that kill our friends and allies, and those that haunt this island. Nakala will come. She will avenge your mother."
