Memory of the Sky

Sarah, a formidable magus, was the most powerful of the humans that volunteered to become an Exalted, but the Forgotten seers discovered within her a powerful yearning for the sky. This was the only root, ironically, that tethered her to her humanity - the desire to let go of the earth. And though she was barred from joining the others in their ascension, the seers wove their magic around her to make her something akin but not quite congruent to her brethen. They amplified her powers over the earth yet also granted her the power of flight, and she became a living dichotomy suspended between two races. Christened anew as the Memory of the Sky, she was entombed in stone at the highest peaks of Tarir to watch over the Inner Sanctum as a guardian angel in the spirit world, ready to be awakened should Glint's legacy ever be threatened. When Mordremoth attacked the Forgotten City, that time had come. The Memory of the Sky came down from empyrean on golden wings to remind those that had forgotten it. - - -
